Scallop Plant

When a quayside fishery wanted a NewSpace for their on-site preparation and distribution needs Our design and production teams were contacted for a solution.

NewSpace design worked closely with our client to develop a modular building that not only covered the needs of the process of sea to plate production but could also be swiftly deployed, meet a low ground pressure threshold, and blend in with the destinations scenic environment.

To allow their client to keep up with the growing demand for their cultivated molluscs, the facility needed to provide as much space as possible from the challenging footprint. House all the process and packaging plant equipment ergonomically in a hygienic environment that was fast and efficient for both the process and housekeeping.

A Seven Bay Modular was designed and constructed.

Internally fitted out with extra deep PU Foam insulation to all internal surfaces to ensure a stable temperature would be maintained at all times inside. Finished with wall to ceiling hygienic food-grade wallboards and trim. Fully welded non-slip vinyl flooring rolled up and capped above the floor level.

Electrics consisted of IP67 rated Vapour proof LED lighting and IP68 sockets and junction boxes where required. All units prewired and finished in our manufacturing facility before delivery, ensuring swift deployment and a happy customer.
